What is ETHW?
EthereumPoW (ETHW) is a hard fork of the Ethereum Chain. After the Ethereum network moved to a proof of work chain in September 2022, a select set of miners refused to transition. This new chain still remains on the old Proof of Work network, where miners continue to mine. ETHW is the coin that powers this chain.
This is not the first major hard fork for Ethereum. The other major fork happened during the creation of Ethereum, called Ethereum Classic (ETC).
